<description>I have a novel method to reduce heating inside the house. On the roof a polyethylene sheet is spread with 5 cm of soil (including sand). There quick growing leafy vegetables are planted whose roots won&#039;t grow deep. Thus the leafy vegetables can be used for human consumption. In this way the temperature inside reduced considerably. After the summer, the polyethylene sheet along with the soil can be removed.
